I am so very confused by these comments. Just Friday Jan.13, 2012. I was at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN at around 6:45 AM to get an MRI. As you all know and for those who don't, when you get an MRI they put head phones on you and you get to listen to music while you go through this teadous process. Well that is how I found out about this station. It was playing the ENTIRE TIME I WAS GETTING MY MRI. HE THE GUY ON THE RADIO SAID VERY CLEARLY JOY 106.3. THIS WAS FRIDAY JANUARY 13, 2012. SO I AM CONFUSED AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON. I LISTENED TO IT AT THE HOSPITAL AND JUST 3 DAYS LATER IT'S GONE. HOW IN THE HELL DOES THAT WORK AGAIN???????????????????????????????????????????

In 2006, I produced inspirational music projects with YuLanda Lunn and Terrence Frierson, from Sounds of Blackness.
One of my songs I composed, copyrighted, produced and published is entitled, "Let Me Fly Again, 3:49 (c)."
My concerns are that Sounds of Blackness have plagiarized my work with their new song entitled
"Fly Again 3:48," featuring Jamecia Bennet on Malaco Records Label, in Jackson, Mississippi.

I think its very refreshing that some of these celebrities set an example by choosing to stay celebate before marrying and not be whoring about the place which seems to be so prevailant in society today.

It's interesting to see how many people have commented on the less than "pure" celebrities, but when it comes to the people who will actually commit to preserving themselves or keeping themselves out of the circle of perpetual carnal lust, there's little to no comments.

In the past, I would turn on Joy 106.3 as I drove past Springfield, from Dayton heading towards Columbus, to hear the great gospel music from that station.
It was just last week I drove to Columbus for a meeting and I was not pleased to hear the JUNK that was playing. I turned off the radio and played my gospel cd's.

I was on my way to Columbus, Ohio on 10/1/11, I tuned into Joy 106.3 and I was shocked to hear R&B playing on this station. I thought that I was hearing things and left my radio on this station for a few more min. Please tell me that this was a mistake and that the R&B was accidently played.

Timira, I truly understand what you are saying. But, one big thing. Satan didn't give us our joy and he can't take it away. I was so down about 106.3 going secular. It was like a dark hole in my spirit. But, after reading the posts, I know that I am not alone. The most powerful weapon we have is prayer. Strong in the Lord.

Don't you all see this is what is supposed to happen. They are trying to take Jesus out of everything. They want us to be distracted. It seemed like they stopped playing gospel after the commercials and songs that really had strong powerful messages for salvation increased.

I agree... I was completely upset when i got in my car on my way to work and my gospel music wasn't on no more... Listening to Joy in the morning and after work was my prayer and time to sing to God... Thank goodness i downloaded joy on my phone so i just plug it into my fm transmitter... There is enough secular music on the radio we need our Gospel music back!!!

Sheri, I am with you. I just went to the website to listen online and Yolanda Adams' Morning Show is playing. According to the website, she is the only show on this station. I am appalled that they have just shut down and didn't respect their devoted listeners enough to give some sort of heads up or explanation. We don't have to worry about "others" treating us any kind of way, our own do it daily!!!!

I whole heartedly agree, taking Joy off of the airwaves was not a move that I feel should have been made, were they not thinking about the listeners who do not have access to the internet, or the listeners who are not tech savvy maybe they do not have a smart phone, or they don't work for a company who will allow them to surf the internet to listen to Joy online, while those of us who commute to work and various other destinations who enjoy listening to Joy while traveling to our destinations. There are a lot of different scenarios that were not looked into here; however we still have a voice on facebook there is a page called "Petition for Gospel Radio to return to the airways" let your voice be heard today join other Columbus Ohio residents who are making their voice heard today.
